Tartan Day, 2012The celebration included our annual spring hike in the mountains -this year there were two hikes, in Lake Placid and near Lake George. |
Thank you to Paul Supley who once again donated commemorative Tartan Day pins for the participants. Paul has given pins each Tartan Day, even when he could not make the hike.
On the official Tartan Day, Friday, April 6, a smaller group of members and friends in the Lake George area met for a morning hike at the Pilot Knob Preserve. They enjoyed a beautiful sunny spring day, a great view of Lake George, and the traditional toast to Scotland. Lunch followed at a local pub. More photos are online here.
We celebrate Tartan Day each April. Check our calendar next year and plan to join us for a hike and/or a meal afterwards! |
